"Saving Mr. Banks" is a touching and poignant film that left me in tears. The performances by Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson were extraordinary, bringing to life the complex relationship between P.L. Travers and Walt Disney. It's a beautiful exploration of the power of storytelling.

beautiful , emotional

Holy mackerel what an emotional rollercoaster. What started as an origin to how Mary Poppins came to be, became an emotional story about how one’s past can alter their future in good ways and bad. What a lovely glimpse into the world of Disney and Goff herself.

How beautiful! Tom hanks brings the Disney magic alive. Never knew this was what went behind the famous Mary Poppins. Travers’ tragic past and current personality have been nicely connected, and Walt’s promise to her and the ultimate result just leaves you feeling satisfied.

This movie was sooo much better than I expected oh my gosh?? The flashbacks RUINED me and the acting is so so well done. I’m actually so in love with how they portrayed everyone. It was incredible. Alethea cried.

Tom Hanks, why not ☺️

Engrossing storytelling. Beautiful & poignant, and in the end, uplifting. Clear character development. Filled with great performances. (Emma Thompson. C'mon).

I'm sure it takes some liberties in historical accuracy. But hard to complain when the end product is this engaging.

I love the sentiment in this film. Colin Farrell was fantastic and so was BJ Novak. Really nice film.

A great heartwarming film, as expected from Disney. And interesting to see how it came about the Disney obtained the rights to the Mary Poppins story. Well done, great acting, nice writing.

i thought this was gonna be so cute and like focused on disney history but i just spent an hour and a half hating the main character and the rest bored

they should have saved private ryan instead
