it's low-cost copy of Donnie Darko movie

Wanted to love this so badly as I'm a massive Donnie darko fan but it was just terrible. honestly felt like a YouTube movie or something a highschool class made. It's honestly terrible in every way and does damage to the Darko legacy

The acting was pretty decent but i still don’t think there was no point in making this sequel. The story is also bad, most stuff just doesn’t work in the way the original did like there is no one frank to a donnie.

Appreciated that there was a second film following Samantha’s story. Was a good attempt at recapturing some of the elements of the first movie. Wished the story dug deeper.

Someone who thinks they understand Donnie Darko which they don’t trying to make a sequel challenge: impossible ✅

This movie on it’s own would have been a cool concept. But as someone who’s such a big fan of the original this one was such a let down. I still haven’t decided if I hate the plot or the character herself.
