i hate Jason Schwartzman so fucking much it’s impossible to put it into words, the movie was good despite having to see his stupid ass rat looking face god you might as well tape a sign to his head that says “discard cast iron skillet with as much force as possible here”

Why did Bill Murray run when he gave her that letter. Bill is so funny in this one.

it doesn’t feel like a classic wes anderson but it’s just as good - every character is so well-crafter and represented - the plot is somewhat scandalous but it doesn’t feel that way at all - very funny at times but also rich with emotion and heart - super comforting movie

Idk what it is about this one but it’s my second favorite Wes Anderson movie, depending on the day it probably is my favorite but I can’t stop thinking about it, it’s just so good and weird and kinda mature at parts that are weird considering the plot but never went too far

A very sweet film from Wes Anderson’s begginings. Absurdly funny, its bold humor is ridiculously enjoyable. The plot is amazing.
I truly liked this one. Jason Schwatzman did a great job.

FANTASTIC film. I’m not sure if I’ll ever dislike a Wes Anderson film but this is one of my favorites. Max and Mr. Blume are such a unique contrast of characters and everything comes together at the end. Great plot and I feel a lot of people relate to Max Fischer. 8.75/10

an ambitious sophomore film from genius wes anderson with amazing casting, visual style, production, and music. a wide variety of enjoyable tropes and themes are present with a charming and incredibly smart narrative that has warmed to me with time. an underrated gem

Okay, i didn’t like the first half of this movie. I thought Max was an annoying cocky character. Luckily the second half was better and Max (kind of) redeemed himself.

amazing debut film for one of my favorite directors. the story seemed to move awkwardly fast for me and you can tell Wes didn't really have his style fully developed. the performances, the scene design, and the love triangle made this an intriguing watch that I will def rewatch.

My all time favourite Wes movie I can’t get enough my favourite part is the Vietnam war show I just find this so beautiful especially the revenge part! Gets better every watch

I did enjoy Andersons earlier cinematography, you can tell he’s finding what works for him and what he likes. Good music and shots, however the story was a little off for me. Felt bad for the teacher, he wouldn’t stop bothering her and even assaulted her. Not my fav of his 6/10
