an absolute joy of a film.

full of laughter, happiness, & sadness all in one.

channing’s performance was incredible. bro made me laugh so loud, especially during the butt ass naked scene lmfao. i was crying my eyes out of laughter. truly hilarious. the entire theater was giggling haha.

always a pleasure seeing him on the big screen. it’s been a min since blink twice.

jeffery’s story was told so so well.

bro was such a nice guy man. everything he did was an act of kindness. literally all he wanted was to get his daughter a bike, yea he could’ve worked hard for his money, and chosen a different career path lmfao but bro was just a family man.

i loved toys r us as a kid but damn i would never want to sleep there for 6 months & only eat penut butter m&ms lmfao.

robbing 45 mcdonald’s without getting caught is diabolical tbh haha. i wonder how the ceo of the big mac felt while seeing his restaurants getting robbed by the roofman lmfao.

pacing is amazing, you never feel bored or lost.

the ending was perfect.

i left the theater in awe and sad at the same time.

truly a really fun film.

well done paramount.

would most definitely rewatch to laugh my ass off again.

I'm very particular about films that claim to be true stories, and granted, 'Roofman' takes some dramatic liberties, but all in all, I feel it truly earns the label. Channing Tatum just seems to get better and better with each performance. The casting and acting in general were great, especially when it came down to the emotional, comedic, and romantic moments. I'd even go as far as to call it a Christmas movie, in the way that "Die Hard" is. There's no doubt, if the heists were extended and escalated, I would have upped the rating.

Fun look at the man behind SNL

Came for laughs, got some and some tears. Kinda feel for the guy. Acting is good. Story progressed well. Enjoyed it from the beginning to the end.

We enjoyed it but it really was heartbreaking for so many reasons. It had a super solid cast who told the story well. It’s definitely worth watching.

Hell of a story! Well acted by the whole ensemble and a good pushing and pulling of tension between light hearted comedy and heavily weighted reality.

this movie is a man giving his life to his country just to not be taken care of to the point where he resorted to stealing (from corporations which shouldn’t even count as a crime lowkey) and then is put in jail to be a slave for the rest of his life. good movie though 8/10

An unbelievable true story that made an absolutely great film.


I did not expect this film to be so emotional & enthralling. I thought this film would be mostly a comedy with a bit of drama, but I was very wrong. It was the complete opposite.


Overall, great film & enjoyable.

9/10 what an adventure and a great story, don’t quit understanding the punishments, seem the sentence in this instance was a bit extreme. Cast were all great and well told. Recommend.

I actually really liked this, but it literally could not stop coming into my mind that if this were a black man, he would probably be dead.

First of all, if a black man entered the Toys “R” Us five minutes before it closed, he would be followed around and made sure that he left.

If a black man robbed a bunch of people with a gun, the conversation of his demeanor wouldn’t even be discussed. It’s shoot first converse second until it’s a white man.

It’s sad cause this is a really sweet movie but kind of infantalizes or making him seem more innocent just shows the privilege that white people will always have an America no matter if they are criminal or a billionaire. like ohhhh but he was so sweet. i don’t gaf

if this were a black man, they wouldn’t get a fucking movie. And if they got any kind of media coverage, it would be an eight episode limited series about how he was a terrorist.

That being said Channing Tatum is bad. I don’t really think he’s hot but now that he’s older he’s been looking real fine.

B Squad masterclass

Remarkable how much of this is a true story. Not nearly as many liberties taken as you would think. Channing Tatum is so slept on. Wonderful cast who all filled their roles perfectly. Pleasantly surprised in how good Roofman was

Really good movie crazy how that it’s based on a true story!!!

I actually enjoyed this film more than i thought. Its crazy what someone will do to evade detection! And what they will do to also see their family again.
I do find it interesting that this is based off a true event. And reading the articles about the events sparks the enjoyment too!

Kirsten Dunst and Channing Tatum are both great in this one. I’m sure the movie definitely takes some artistic license in its retelling of the events, but the story has a great balance of heart and humour to it, and is an enjoyable watch.

8.5 I can’t believe this was based on a true story. Absolutely genius work from Jeff hiding at a Toys R Us. Had me rooting for him the whole movie, was sad when they detained him. I was hoping he would somehow escape and live happily ever after with the new family that had accepted him for who he was

A chill watch, not a cinematic masterpiece, but it’s got some funny and wholesome bits to keep you hooked. The plot’s simple, the vibes are comfy, and it’s perfect for when you want something easy to watch.
