This movie is great. The action was great, the plot was great, the acting, the ending, I’d definitely watch again. Love how it seamlessly transitions into episode IV. For sure in my top 3, highly recommend! 9.2/10

This movie made me a starwars fan! And my favourite movie overall

After watching Andor, my view on this has flipped a complete 180. The cast is one of my favourites. Some characters have noticeably better writing than others, but all are equally enjoyable. The Force is strong with Gareth Edwards. I mean, the quality in the VFX, SFX, detail, action, and score is just unbelievably insane. Story-wise, I want more spinoffs depicting the planet-punching tyranny under the Galactic Empire. Honestly, it could decimate even a 4-hour runtime. 'Andor' fixes the lack of character development, but also overvalues certain characters that end up having unsatisfactory endings. Regardless, this may just be the best SW project after 'Revenge of the Sith.'

This is my first Star Wars movie, I like it. I start with this one because Mads Mikkelsen is in it. It did not disappoint. I think I will watch the other Star Wars films as well from now on . this one has a unique ending for sure

Pretty good filler for the Star Wars chronicles. Definitely went on my phone for some parts but action at the end was pretty dank.

With an ending such as this, it truly broke my heart, yet that just shows how lovable the characters were—how amazing the main character's arcs were. Oh yeah, and that scene with Darth Vader with the rebels? Frightening perfection.

I think this movie is so special, because it shows what makes a franchise like Star Wars so unique and have so much potential. This story can ONLY exist because of the fantastic pre-existing worldbuilding and overarching lore, and it really takes advantage of that. This was the first Star Wars movie that took us outside of the world of the Force, lightsabers, Jedi vs. Sith, etc., and I think it REALLY benefited from that. Of course, those things are still present, but it’s from a super different perspective, which makes it extremely interesting.

I also think the concept of this movie is just really cool and unique. A war firm in the Star Wars universe is a really cool approach to a movie, and it’s the sort of genre mashup I love to see. Having the perspective of a ragtag group of rebels makes everything seem a lot larger-scale and intimidating, and the threats seem so… threatening! I will also say that this is the only Star Wars thing that I have seen so far that has made me tear up, which is always a good sign for me!

Like any Star Wars project, it definitely wasn’t perfect. I’m not a major Star Wars fan, so I didn’t remember that Tarkin was someone from the previous movies, and that they were using CGI to recreate the dead actor. But what did immediately strike me is that it looked WEIRD and super creepy - it was a total uncanny valley effect. Even beyond any ethical concerns, I think it was just pretty unsettling. But also ethically, I’m just not sure I can get behind that. It also did sort of just devolve into the usual Rebellion vs. Empire battle we’re all so familiar with near the end, but it was still a more interesting way of doing it.

Overall, I had a really good time with this!

This is everything we should’ve gotten when Disney took over Star Wars.
Great production, awesome CGI, interesting characters, fantastic storyline, and a ton of money thrown at it.
I want more Star Wars content that’s on par with this. Whether or not we’ll get it is unknown.

Also the combined 5 minutes that Darth Vader is in this movie is some of the most bad ass Darth Vader content on screen I’ve ever seen

Of all the “new” star wars movies, this one is the only addition which I feel like rewatching. It might have been mainly a fan service, and it has its weird moments (like the blind monk line) but overall, a very fun film with a few darker aspects for star wars fans and others too

worth watching the whole film for 1 minute of vader fucking shit up

Very solid story with a great plot and performances but very overrated in the Star Wars community. Everyone dying at the end had no emotional payoff since we didn’t know any of these characters before this but I guess that’s the point. Still a solid movie but overhyped
