Brilliant writing - the way the teenagers interacted with each other and their dialogue was so perfectly crafted.

Never gone through such emotions in my life this film was so good the plot was gripping and interesting, the characters were relatable and charming and the storyline was so sad. At first I felt a lot of frustration with the characters but as I watched on I just became more sympathetic. She's so young and she's only trying to do what she can to survive and that hit my heart. There was a lot to love in this film and a lot for people to take in.
This film is raw and it's rare. It's rare to see such like this flow beautifully, I do think however the main character was written too close to ghetto to juvenile stereotypes and excess amount of pride. This film refrains from heroising young carers. The messages of this film are a clear however I don't know that they are well received. I just though that social workers are evil, the girl could have shown a bit more responsibility and planning and that she could have made everything a lot easier for herself and brother had she turned to someone she could trust.
I felt myself really crying when it came to her brother when she was trying to calm him Down what social worker grabbed him from her and when she realised that she'd lost him and felt that he'd be better without her. Those really got to me. The younger child represents themes of such innocence that the elder child is trying to hold onto but in the end the damage has been done and the trauma has set in and ig she didn't want to ruin her brothers.
I cried I laughed I sighed god this film was great ✨✨✨

Mother leaves, young girl forced to look after younger brother and has to face a lot of hardships on the way and has to find a way to make money whilst running away from social services.Slow start but very sad. Would recommend if you’d like stories about absent parent
