Brutal,
it is a hard movie to review without having seen the original -something i plan to remedy in the near future- as anything i might say would be compared to the 1987 version, but i did enjoy it

I seem to be one of the few humans on the planet that enjoyed this movie. Nothing groundbreaking, not the original, but fun and the script actually works to make our main character feel more than a 2D cut out of an action hero.

i watched this fully assuming it was the 1987 version. it genuinely took me until i looked up the cast list afterwards and didn’t see samuel l jackson. was decent though 7.5/10
