Robin Hood

- I’m disappointed a sequel was planned but never made, I still really enjoyed the ending
- Crowe + Ridley Scott are always goated together
- It was refreshing to see a medieval movie where the wife doesn’t get killed at the end and they end up together

Love it. Imma sucker for a full on Ridley Scott production. Great cinematography and awesome script. Favorite Robin Hood. Kind of a bummer that they canned the sequel to this.

Wanted to see Scott and Crowe team up for a gritty origin story. Expected a fun adventure, but the dense plotting and bleak tone kinda drained the life out of it.

What Worked:
• Massive battles honestly look incredible with heavy, realistic weight.
• Oscar Isaac is fantastic as Prince John, totally stealing his scenes.
• Sweeping shots of the English countryside look beautiful and completely pop.

The Friction:
• The fake-identity part in Nottingham really dragged for me during tax disputes.
• Crowe’s performance honestly felt a bit too stoic to connect with early on.

Verdict:
Watch for a gritty, slow-burn epic. Skip if you want lighthearted fun.

I was thinking about giving this a heart until I got to the final battle on the beach. Wtf. Lost so much historical accuracy with the dumb D Day beach landing. Like why. I get it’s about Robin Hood but you still should keep it historically accurate
