10/10 i love this more than the original Matilda tbh! both are amazing but the singing and choreography in this one is just awesome. i recommend that everyone watch this, cause i love it 💚

Now this is how you correctly make a musical into a movie

Such a terrible Movie. It has absolutely no concept of the original or the book. The only thing that’s similar is the time Amanda Thwip gets thrown.
A)Where’s her brother?
B)There’s no relationship between Matilda and her mum
C)Her parents are hardly in it or watching TV w/ her

The British ruined yet another thing. The original is awesome, but this one did not live up to the original at all. Matilda also was way more of a brat than in the original. Music wasn’t bad but should have kept the original or just made it not British. Plot was way too different

2/10**was not a fan of this movie at all, I don’t even blame the movie. I believe it’s because of my love for the original, the only similarities in this movie with the original are the character names and a school and that’s it. Made it far but didn’t finish it.

I did not like this musical at all, I’m a very big fan of musicals in general but this was horrible, the songs were not hitting like they should and miss girl didn’t have powers

Personally I prefer the Danny DeVito version slightly more because I think it pays more attention yo Matilda discovering her crazy powers and also DeVito is just crazy fab imo. But this movie is bonks and filled with crazy bops. Some don’t sound as good outside of the movie tho 😞

amazing adaption, i love the stylization with the outfits and the setting so much, the singing is lovely and the story was told beautifully as expected, it made me very emotional and i think it was very relatable, i cried quite a few times

ok i like only watched this cause my boyfriend said it was his favorite movie, but now i'm sobbing, it was glorious . 10/10

Was worth it! It was just like the musical. I especially loved the ending.

amo miss honey

the fact that my mutuals love this movie is CRAZY🙃 the songs suck, the MC had no star quality and her voice is so whiny. miss honey was miss invisible and trunchbull was one dimensional. side characters were boring.

BORING

This was one of the best movie musicals that I have ever seen. I loved how they arranged the order of the songs to fit the plot of the story. Also, the added on lyrics to some of the songs was great especially in Revolting Children. I am sad about “Loud” not being in the movie.💕😭
