Rio Bravo
1/29/26: Howard Hawks made this as a rebuke against High Noon, as High Noon was an allegory for The Hollywood Blacklist during the time. He was a terrible man. Very dull plot, so boring. The only good things are Angie Dickinson and Ricky Nelson being hot, and still they put Angie Dickinson with John Wayne at the end 🤮

What a squad! Wayne is the swagger, Nelson the handsome youth, Brennan the sass. Talented Martin as the hostage. Dickinson is gorgeous.
