A charming little coming-of-age film. It captures quite well the pressure of living up to the expectations of the people you love, and how difficult it can be to accept that you don’t always have to meet them.
I particularly enjoyed the soundtrack, cinematography and lighting, all of which felt very well considered and complemented the story nicely. The performances were solid, although nothing particularly outstanding. Ultimately, the narrative felt rather familiar, covering themes and situations I’ve seen explored many times before.
The ending left me with slightly bittersweet feelings. I would have liked a little more closure, although I appreciated the choice he made. It wasn’t necessarily about getting the outcome you hoped for, but rather accepting that perhaps, one day, things might be different.
Worth a watch if you’re looking for something light, but don’t expect anything particularly groundbreaking.

I liked it even though we’ve seen this story many times. It was rushed and too short though with a sudden ending. I would recommend it but just know that.

No heated rivalry, but funny to see “Shane” in a different role.

The coming out story has been told in movies millions of times over. This feels like a perfected and refreshed version of the same story for the modern age. But still evokes alot of those feelings and experiences I personally had at that age. Well done but yet unoriginal.

The fact that Connor Storrie is in this movie too with long hair like watching Heated Rivalry made me think of this movie and him in it I forgot I had watched this movie this was good too
