I don’t think I’ve wanted to check the time on my phone so much in a theater since freakin Argylle, which also sucked major balls. Counting the ceiling tiles in the theater was more entertaining than this disrespectful-to-the-source-material snoozefest

If you're a fan of the Silent Hill games, you will hate every aspect of this movie. Music was the only decent part.

I’m rewriting this review because I haven’t played the game but I have went out my way to understand the game and this is a disrespectful adaptation of silent hill I don’t think it’s badly made I like the visual identity but i think this movie is fine a decent watch 7.7/10

Ugh. It was so close. The visuals are there. He recreated scenes almost perfectly from the game. They look incredible. And the monsters. They’re right in the money. But then the narrative is a mess. The acting is stiff. And it feels so rushed from scene to scene with little to no cohesion. If I hadn’t loved the games I’d be so confused on what they were even trying to do. Then small things from the game are changed. Why? Why make Mary his gf and not his wife? Why add in a weird backstory for Mary? Stop trying to do more than necessary. It always ruins it. The games are amazing—just stick to that. Don’t reinvent the wheel.

If you’re not a huge fan of the games, sadly I’d say skip. Even if you are a fan, you’ll love parts and cringe at the rest.

this is definitely a silent hill movie

I actually really enjoyed this movie. I'm a big fan of silent hill and it is absolutely worth a watch. I know it's got bad reviews but I'd say go see it yourself to make a judgement on it. follows pretty well to the silent hill 2 video game but not fully alike

Just because the game your movie is based on was made in 2001 doesn’t mean your movie can have cgi and special effects as bad as a 2001 game

74/200 went into this movie thinking it’d be absolute dog, wasn’t AS bad as expected. though some parts looked like it could be in the game, other parts the cgi was horrific and they were floating

absolutely mid idk how had the idea of writing this it feels like the game but if it was made of pure filler and no tension

Ganz ganz komisch und vor allem nicht mal gute Schauspieler

Going into this with next to no knowledge of the games was certainly an experience. It is very confusing at times but towards the end you start to understand what's going on. The overall concept of the story is interesting but could've maybe been executed a little better. The acting and line delivery is awkward a lot of the times and the greenscreen is very obvious.

Is it perfect? No. Did I thoroughly enjoy it? Yes.

In comparison to the other movies I think this was acceptable

Not a bad movie but they could have literally named it anything else because this isn’t silent hill 😭😭😭
