Remarkably Bright Creatures

My 11-year-old daughter and I watched Remarkably Bright Creatures today, and honestly, I can’t think of a better movie to see together the day before Mother’s Day. It was sweet, heartfelt, a little sad, a little mysterious, and full of so much love.

The highest compliment I can give it is this: I would watch it again right now. It left me with all the feels. The cast was perfection; Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, Kathy Bates, Colm Meaney, and Alfred Molina, who somehow makes Marcellus the octopus the most unforgettable character of them all.

As per usual, the book is almost always better. The book is better than this movie but it was well done and I loved it. Get your tissues ready 😢
