Was really looking forward to this. It just doesn’t live up to the hype. It’s Star Wars /space opera but the acting & writing is poor. plot is ridiculous & quite boring at times and I don’t enjoy the slow motion shots constantly. Enjoy sci-fis tho and will look forward to part 2

Imagine 1000 storyboard concepts crammed together with no overall cohesive story. This movie is like a poorly written video game. I hate what Disney has done to Star Wars, but I can see why this script was rejected.

This is a god awful excuse of a movie. Bunch of great actors wasted on shit roles. Writing was atrocious. Fight choreography was brutal. Not a single redeeming quality in this shitter. Biggest letdown of the year. 22% on the tomato meter is a stretch.

Loved the new sci-fi world Zack Snyder is building. The cast and characters were great. Part one was a fairly simple but interesting story and a great introduction to this new world and characters! Already can’t wait for part 2

Cool film, l'univers a un potentiel sans pour autant se prendre trop la tête, on dirait star wars y a des sabres laser et des gros vaisseaux.

It tries *so* hard to world build with way too much lore and brief backstories that it just isn’t very interesting. I rolled my eyes a lot but the action is kinda awesome and I was entertained enough to make it through and I’ll watch pt 2 when it drops in April

Wow, the first movie I’ve seen where a simple farmer must gather unlikely companions such as a robot, an old general, a two-faced smuggler and his sidekick, and a person of royal blood in order to defeat the most advanced military in the universe!

I was really hyped for this movie and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. This looked like it had the chance to be a unique sci-fi story, but it turned out to be a copy and paste from other films, by-the-numbers release.

Unlike most people (from what I’ve seen) i personally didn’t have any expectations going into this movie so i was decently pleased with it, but i understand the criticisms. it’s not perfect but this is only Pt 1 hopefully Pt 2 will be better. 7/10

Ok hear me out .. it's good , soo good but any star wars fan will disagree , for me i haven't seen star wars and u really enjoyed this masterpiece im talking about the hard work on the graphics THE image it was well made .. even tho the acting was not the best but...

There are some similarities between this and the Star Wars, but not that much. As it is said, the plot isn’t very original, but it has a giant plot twist, that I didn’t see it coming. The background, the scenery is as beautiful as the cast, besides that the movie is acceptable.

I love Zack Snyder. But I’m severely disappointed in this. Each scene was more derivative than the previous with no character development and a nonsensical plot. I don’t even know if the extended cut would save this, but that’s generally what happens with his films.

This was a really great movie! Snyder did great making his own type of Star Wars and sci-fi film! Great actors and lots of unknowns! Recommend to anyone to enjoy an awesome sci-fi movie! 💯 ⚔️

In between of good and mediocre. Full of common tropes and boring characters. The world building is not enough to intrigue me. At least, it has cool action sequences.

Bro literally said to George Lucas “Can I copy your homework? I promise it won’t be too similar”.

It was decent, dragged a bit and was a bit boring at parts, but it was a good set up for the rest of the story to come, and interesting enough to excite me for what’s to come. 7/10

Don't understand why it's so hated. Most 'part ones' are mediocre. This felt like a fairly dialogue to action to story based introduction to everything. Whether you like it or not is your choice, but is it the movie, or is it the context? Anyway, I'm sure part two will be better, a lot better, and if it isn't, then I'll be dissatisfied and disappointed in both part one and two. Also, the visuals and action sequences blew me away, literally blew me away.
