This movie is a well paced thriller, that has so much fun with every single scene. It is so re-watchable, and definitely one of the best in its genre.

Very entertaining thriller, more black comedy than horror. I thought lead actress Samara Weaving was Margot Robbie until I looked it up. Both Australian. What’s going on there? Much to consider

I wanted this movie to be good so bad. Overall, it was alright- at best. She acted like she was barely hurt throughout the whole movie despite being shot, cut, and stabbed…bffr. Could’ve been more chasing. More gore. Ending was cringe, she wanna be Veronica so bad. 6/10

I’m not usually the biggest horror movie person, so Ready or Not being this good was honestly rude. I went in expecting chaos, blood, and maybe a few cheap scares, and instead got a shockingly fun, sharp, and ridiculously entertaining movie that completely pulled me into its wonderfully twisted mess of a story.
The cast was phenomenal across the board, but Samara Weaving and Adam Brody especially stood out. Samara Weaving does an amazing job carrying the film, turning Grace into someone you can actually root for while everything around her descends into pure rich-family lunacy. She brings just the right mix of panic, determination, and exhausted disbelief, which makes every insane moment land even better. Adam Brody also adds a lot to the movie, giving his character more depth than you might expect in a film that is, at its core, about homicidal in laws playing the worst game night imaginable.
What makes Ready or Not work so well is that the story feels surprisingly pulled together, even with such a bizarre premise. It never feels messy or like it’s trying too hard to be clever. Instead, it fully commits to its twisted concept and somehow balances horror, dark comedy, and satire without falling apart. The movie takes a pretty savage jab at wealth, family loyalty, and the kind of tradition that should have been questioned by literally everyone much sooner.
It’s stylish, tense, funny in all the right places, and just self aware enough to keep the madness entertaining instead of overwhelming. Even for someone who doesn’t normally gravitate toward horror, this one is easy to appreciate because it’s not just trying to scare you, it’s trying to entertain you, and it absolutely does.
Ready or Not ended up being way better than I expected: twisted, clever, and wickedly fun. Basically, if this is what “meeting the in laws” looks like, staying single suddenly seems like a great survival strategy.

A bit funny I have to say but I don't know why, something disturbed me all the way down. Even if it is not the goal, the story has no point, nothing makes any sense and I think that is the kind of things needed to truly horrify me. However, jokes need to be kept! 12/20

I don’t do scary. This was much too scary for me.
I know it’s supposed to be a dark comedy but it was much too dark and not enough comedy.
