This was probably a bit lower than a “like” for me, but I appreciated the Welsh folklore. The bridge of themes felt a bit thin to me, but perhaps that’s just me being unfamiliar with the lore. There was some beautiful imagery and the sound was indeed special.

Dev Patel really needs to stop following Barry Keoghan into the woods. Slowburn atmospheric thriller with great sound design.

Interesting, if you are ready to pay attention and more than likely google the meaning then this is for you!

87/100 I am a big fan of folklore scary flicks / this win delivered a great performance from the kid. Maybe a tad too confusing on the lead to the ending

I liked this movie but it will not be for everyone. You have to really love folk horror and be prepared for a slow burn that only sort of pays off.

I think this one is getting hate for understandable reasons BUT personally I loved it. I thought it was very interesting and weirdly complex, the mold house set was beautiful, and the lore was cool. Did I understand most of it? No. Still worth the watch imo.

I wouldn't be as disappointed as I am if I weren't misled into expecting something to actually happen. Both from the description and marketing. There are ingredients scattered everywhere, yet without a recipe, it's all meaningless. The characters are somewhat interesting, but the story is boring, and the acting turns jarring very quickly. The sound design was cool, but that went nowhere either. All in all, I'd skip it unless you want a nothing burger of a film.

i expected alot more from this film. Dev Patels acting is as always absolutely stunning but this story, as beautiful as the filmography is, is a bit disappointing

Odd little unsettling feature. Sonically satisfying. The Child’s actor is fantastic. Famously Dev’s #1 supporter. Don’t exactly think I ‘get’ it per se, but I enjoyed the experience.

I wish this was more … everything. More thriller. More horror. More supernatural. The cinematography does so much of the heavy lifting that the story feels like an afterthought.
