Jesse is quite an annoying character in the movie and the pacing makes no sense lol. Soundtrack ate DOWN and Aaliyah is my true gay awakening. Where’s Louis?? Despite the review I still love this movie because gay vampires is my aesthetic always

It’s good if you just want a cheesy vampire movie, without having to pay much attention to the plot cuz the plot doesn’t even make sense, i loved the music and vibes i suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I say I love this movie I don’t mean that it’s good. It’s clumsy and heteronormative and very ‘00’s core and nu metal and it happened to me at a formative time and threw me into Anne Rice. Aaliyah is Akasha forever. This movie makes it so much easier to appreciate the absolute beauty of Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson and the whole IWTV crew. Lestat isn’t even blond. Also. Boo back.

A bit trashy but weirdly entertaining

It does not succeed as an Anne Rice adaptation, nor is it an engaging story. But there IS something fun about a 2000s nu metal Lestat. There’s fun to be had here even if I feel like it was a bad movie full of baffling decisions.

Aaliyah is this movie's saving grace.

Weird tone throughout the movie but the music SLAYED as much as Aaliyah, the only reason I would rewatch tbh. I liked the looks from Lestat but the dialogue is just not there, and the story for some reason i felt dragged, also Louis is where?! Hyped up the QotD AMC show more

This movie was so fun, the queen was soo cool , I shipped Jessie and lestat soo bad in the end I was hoping he would save her and I wish they had more scenes together, love the ending , 8/10

I cant go 30second with out complaining because I love the book so much. Great soundtrack tho!
