Threw this on for Shrek Day to see if it held up. Expected a cash-grab, but the swashbuckling charm and Latin flair totally hooked me!

What Worked:
• The vibrant spaghetti-western feel pops beautifully on screen.
• Banderas and Hayek have insane voice chemistry; their banter totally carries the movie for me.
• Jackman’s acoustic score is a banger. The guitar work kept my adrenaline up.

The Friction:
• Jack and Jill felt super one-dimensional. They just grunt, making stakes feel video-gamey to me.
• The middle really dragged for me. The beanstalk journey slowed the momentum way down.
• Humpty’s arc was whiplash-y. His shifting motives made it hard for me to fully invest.

Verdict:
Watch for a stylish fairytale and killer soundtrack. Skip if you need a deep plot; this film is simply a breezy ride.
