Project Hail Mary
Major major major piece.
Wow, was not expecting this, really amazing.
Gosling gave a stunning performance, full of emotion. A whole rollercoaster of emotions. This role gave him the reach he needed to show EVERYTHING he had to give, in a single feature, really amazing
Cinematography was on top of the game and above, such verity, such difference in every single scene. Every sequence feels different, timeless
The story is wonderful, it kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time and I couldn’t look away.
The friendship between the two, is not only iconic but unique, striking and emotional, something I will remember for a long long time.
Dialogue is great, snappy, catchy, it makes you understand what’s going on, even when we’re in a major science situation, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t get jack sh*t about science.
I’m really really full of emotions.
I came with pretty high expectations, but they were exceeded time and time again.
This is a blockbuster but you are wrong if you think it’s a normal one, this is way bigger, way better, and I bet you’ll remember this one…
People were trying to call it the “interstellar killer” this is not that, this is not the same category, two completely different things that exceeded in both their fields.
I strongly recommend this, at 2:30 hours of run time, time flies while you are along side the two in this big bold adventure
In conclusion, amazing, striking and in my humble opinion, timeless.

“Save Earth, Save Erid.”
Project Hail Mary made the entirety of Arrival feel like the end of Little Miss Sunshine, it felt so full of hope when it all seemed lost. Its relentless in its beauty, yet not relentless in its pacing, but I can guarantee you, that not only will you enjoy this majorly the first time round, but you will love it even more the second time around.
1st Act 8.9/10 (Slow, but the good kind, however it’s a bit hard to follow if you get below a grade 5s in GCSE science.)
2nd Act 9.5/10 (Tense, thrilling, emotional, beautiful, all it’s missing is the pace which gets good about halfway through this.)
3rd Act 11/10 (Arrival, Interstellar and Hopecore had a baby.)
Plot 9.7/10 (Ryan Gosling.)
Soundtrack/Score 10/10 (Ngl this was a banger, will revisit.)
Acting 9.7/10 (Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller and James Ortiz are all absolutely amazing in this, maybe Lionel Boyce but mostly them.)
Pacing 8.5/10 (Slow almost boring, but redeems itself by picking back up halfway through and not mattering on a rewatch.)
Cinematography 11/10 (Bra-fucking-vo, like holy shit take a bow.)
Character Development 9.7/10 (WE LOVE YOUR R&R.)
Writing 11/10 (Every joke landed and it made me feel smarter, W picks.)
Ending 9.6/10 (I need Bittersweet Symphony edits over this.)
Direction 9.4/10 (Phil Lord and Christopher Miller deserve 10X more respect than they get.)

If you’ve seen the movie you know my rating actually means “❤️”. I thought this movie was absolutely incredible. Visually stunning, intellectually engaging, absolutely hilarious, the score was awesome, Ryan did an amazing job acting, the story had a lot of heart… such an amazing movie.
On the topic of visuals, this movie might just win an Oscar for it, the only other competition is the odyssey and dune so we’ll have to wait and see.

This film was amaze, amaze, amaze! Absolutely beautiful and brilliant. The movie correlated with the book very well but also had some spin offs in its own way that I loved to see. One of the best films of this decade, definitely must see in theaters! Lots of jazz hands to this!

A fun sci fi movie, but the book is better. I wish they didn’t dumb the movie down. I feel like audiences would appreciate more of the science and smarts. It’s a beautiful film and Ryan Gosling and Rocky are great. But they need to trust audiences more. We are smarter than Hollywood thinks.

Project Hail Mary
It’s a visually stunning childish movie. My main critique is the first 50% of the film forced too much cringy corny comedy. It felt so unserious that I couldn’t get emotionally invested in the couple ‘heavier’ parts. It’s good harmless fun, but I think significantly overrated

Delightful and beautiful film. Such a relief to be away from sequel/franchise/superhero slop. Felt like a breath of fresh air. See it in theaters!

my god. this is so peak. amaze amaze.
if interstellar & 2001: a space odyssey had a baby.
greg with the spectacular cinematography. visually the most stunning film he’s ever shot. he even said it himself in an interview.
the colors on this film are just mind blowing. every single frame is a work of art. i was just in awe the entire runtime.
honestly ryan has some incredible performances but this one really stood out for me. the raw emotions & his attachment to rocky is just so adorable & beautiful.
got the chance to watch it in IMAX 70mm.
i’ve said it many times & i’ll say it again… there’s no better format to appreciate the quality & art of each frame better than this. if you live far from one, book the flight and send it. it’s a must if you appreciate cinema.
will most certainly rewatch again this weekend. i need to. i’m obsessed. i’m glad it’s getting all the love it deserves. hope the academy nominates the fuck out of this film bc it’s just that damn good.
no green screen. just pure cinema.
best film of 2026 so far.

10/10 This film provides all the highs/lows/laughs and tears (it’s “ET” meets “Interstellar”). The special effects were spot on and Gosling outstanding- this best to date. Recommend.

many complaints.
-why go back and forth from past-present? use chronological order! would be more interesting.
-concerned by stars dying? circle of life, we've known they die!
-didnt complete the mission to the sun!
- dumbing-down intelligent life, why?
for the hype, not good

Sorry @moviewoobie, huge dislike.
I would’ve been okay with it had they had different writers (and joke writers…), actors, directors, and cameramen. But as it stands I didn’t like any of it. Music was CONSTANT too, 3 hour song. Gosling was so bad, a literal rock acted better…
