Romance movies back then just did it differently. You can see them grow as characters throughout the film and understand why they like each other which other films now often lack. This is a classic for the right reasons. Plot is a crazy concept but it worked.

This was shocking. I didn’t know this was a prostitute x business man… it is totally not my thing, but when they started to really get to know each other, it felt more respectful & fun. There wasn’t a third-act miscommunication breakup! Or if you’d think that was—it was proper yk
