6.8/10 Just missed being a like This whole movie felt like a build up and but the end was just flat and boring. It was a good idea for a movie and executed well in certain ways just wasn’t very polished off and wasn’t as emotional as I thought (maybe because paul Rudd was in it)

Pretty good nothing spectacular though. I liked Nick Jonas in the film I would’ve liked to see more scenes of them together maybe but I also enjoyed seeing the dualities of their separate lives. Bit disappointing that Nick didn’t get that character development at the end tho

Was poorly made. Poorly acted at points from Nick Jonas just felt like he was reading lines instead of acting them yknow. Kind of a mix of heartfelt wholesomeness and dumbass comedy but I fucked with it hard.
The Substance but with musicians. I cried. Not cry but tears were present.
But one thing. When you make a song primarily about singing. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO THE SINGING ADR IT ACTUALLY FUCKING SYNCS UP WITH THE FILM JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

The fact his friends or even his family didn’t believe he wrote the song would have drove me crazy too. I am glad his daughter found an old recording of the song. Dislike the movie doesn’t show that Danny Wilson is a fraud. Many underground artist faces this everyday.

sure bruh. was so hoping this would be good. but no. paul rudd is so painfully miscast. and the writing is just so so so shallow. there’s a story here that i think works against itself. and this being the #1 song??? it’s not that good if it even could be called good.

music was catchy and well executed and the story was pretty good just kinda predictable - nick jonas and paul rudd were both great just wish they actually spent more of the movie interacting with each other

John Carney delivers, one more time, a fine moving film about music. Even with the theme and the songs are quite the same in his filmography it's refreshing to enjoy the stories and to listen the music. Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas are great. I like it a lot.

A heartfelt father-daughter narrative that I didn’t expect among a story of betrayal & two artists living completely different lives. I think there is some wilder potential it could have leaned into but even though they played things safe it was a fun watch.
