Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Even without being very knowledgeable on this franchise and just knowing the basics POKÉMON Detective Pikachu is a fun time with great visuals, a solid cast, and nice world-building. The character designs were true to the original from what I know and I think it worked well.

I've never liked Pokémon, yet I found this movie more entertaining than the other video game-based ones on my list. The plot is a bit silly at times, and the humans don't add much for me, but the pokemons carried the movie making it fun. For me it's a well-deserved 7.5!

You know, I worried at first, not seeing Ash or Brock or anyone else from the series, hearing Pikachu being voiced by Deadpool, I was scared the original story was not there. But man was I mistaken. The plot twist I received from this movie and the emotions just made me love it.
