The 2nd Wes Anderson film that i’ve seen and im shocked by how different his style is from mainstream Hollywood. He really cuts out all the meaningless parts and gets right down to what exactly is going on. His style can definitely get stale at points but you hardly notice 8.4/10

Visually, the movie is a true masterpiece. Every frame looks like a work of art. The cinematography is definitely the strongest aspect of the movie, and I enjoyed every visual detail.

I'd blame the story more than the directing/acting. This felt much weaker than the other Dahl adaptations in my opinion.

I decided to watch poison, The Swan and The Rat Catcher back to back and this one was the first one I watched.
I absolutely adore Wes Anderson’s film making style and enjoyed this one a lot but I’d say that it wasn’t my favorite out of all the three I watched.
It was good but I felt like it lacked something. Not exactly sure what. I suppose I was hoping for something different from what I thought and expected.
