Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World

I loved the first movie and it is one of my fav disney movies of all time. I’m disappointed that she didn’t end up with John Smith after bringing him back from the dead. He was literally my first childhood crush. However I did love the movie and will still love both films. Okay x

Stunning animation again and some very iconic or otherwise fun moments but other than that romanticizes colonization a LOT. In the first there were hints of it but mostly it was anti colonization. Makes light of the darker part of the real Pocahontas’ life.

A lot of the times the sequel to all the iconic Disney Princess films tend to jump the shark and not be quite as good but I gotta say this one was not that case, I enjoyed the themes, the music and everything about it!
