am i the only one that thought this kid looked like greg heffley

It really is impossible to describe how moronic this entire movie was, I mean from start to finish everything about it was just poor. A cringy, awkward, mismanaged film with truly awful editing. I forgot Kevin James was even in this, I was purely here for Thad and he ruled. Alan Ritchson is a cheat code, he’s hilarious and in a goofy role like this he managed to make the experience slightly entertaining. A bizarre story and a really odd movie. 2/5

I have to say that it was actually better than most people are saying. It was actually pretty funny. Overall, I still enjoyed watching this, just go in with low expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

Stupid, silly, goofy, but most of all, actually funny. It's exactly what I expect and want from a cheap comedy spoof, and I love that it doesn't try to be more. The action is reckless, the comedy is feckless, and the sound effects left me almost breathless. 'Bri-Bri' hasn't been in something this good since at least Mall Cop, and paired up with Ritchson, the dynamic was so refreshing. Even the kids knew exactly how to act in the least annoying way possible. I feel guilty for rating it so high, but I honestly can't wait for a sequel.

wanted to like it so much more but this is barely a meh. fine story but it’s chaotic and cheesy as hell. absolutely love the cast but truly a tough watch overall. 3/10

Playdate is a goofy action-comedy where a dads’ playdate spirals into chaos. Funny at times but mostly outdated and predictable.
But I actually really enjoyed watching this movie!!

Alan Ritchson wrestling with that kid was all I needed.

This was very funny. It was extremely chaotic and definitely didn’t go the direction I was expecting it to go. A lot of weird shots and moments but still doesn’t really affect the movie itself. The characters were likeable, the story was pretty good, the action too.

8.1/10

A playful Action Comedy that some Dads will go along on a mission for.

Surprise comedy with James & Ritchson smashing their roles.
A good fun quick weekend watch at 95mins with loads of laughs and action.

Obviously ends horribly but alan ritchson is playing basically Thad castle as an adult. surprisingly funny.
