I asked Pinocchio if I was adopted and he said no. Phew!
I was a bit worried but was quickly rest assured when his nose grew longer. Wow, A scientific phenomenon happened because he was so heartbroken by my question!

Pinocchio is a timeless Disney classic that has so much heart and magic. Watching the Blue Fairy bring Pinocchio to life is such a beautiful moment, and from there his journey is full of adventure, mistakes and lessons that help him grow. I love how becoming a real boy isn’t something he’s simply given—it’s something he has to earn through kindness, bravery and learning from his choices. Jiminy Cricket is the perfect guide throughout, the music is unforgettable, and the film is filled with moments that have stayed magical no matter how many times I’ve watched it. It’s a story that never gets old and reminds you that the best lessons are often learned along the way.

Pinocchio is a character who has been adapted into many films, and this is Walt Disney’s animated version. The film explores some very dark themes that are meant to frighten children when they are disobedient. There are two especially disturbing scenes: one is when Stromboli locks Pinocchio in a cage to exploit him for labor, and the other is Pleasure Island, where the boys begin turning into donkeys and are sold. Sadly, these themes are still relevant today, as we continue to see labor exploitation and child trafficking.
