i think this movie changed my life holy shit

Didn’t know much about Pharrell except maybe three of his songs, finished this movie realizing he has had a hand in a huge chunk of my favorites spanning years

I was hesitant on the Lego style for a documentary but it all makes sense when you watch the movie and just learn a little about him

A good chunk of the movie I would say touches on his roots and “origin” before it gets to his modern songs

Never hated the Happy song but it did get overplayed into oblivion when it released and I think today was the first time I heard it since — still a solid track

Solid movie

I expected this to be an origin of pharrell but it felt more like a compilation of interviews with his friends and family and idk if it was just me but some of the conversations sounded ai generated like the tone of their voices sounded as if i told an ai version of them to talk

I thought this was a creative way of storytelling, and ultimately made this documentary more interesting. Pharrell Williams is able to share his narrative as well as those around him. It doesn’t go as deep as many would like but it’s not bad.
