i wanted to like but it was meh.. it didn’t really feel like a rom com… don’t think i’d rewatch… true to indian parents tho x

Terrible literally why do I waste my time with movies like this. There was absolutely no romance between the main couple, they just decided to fall in love in the very end. Most of the movie was her going on blind dates and something going terribly wrong everytime. It was awful.

im sorry for the full thumbs down considering each actor is normally great in literally any of their other work - but this was NOT it (prime waste of potential)
chaotic, no character development, barely a plot tbh, rushed resolutions, cringe behavior, and bad music choices

I never watch cheap, straight-to-streaming rom-coms but I knew most of the cast and needed a background flick. This somehow doesn't even work as that. It had my attention for at most 15 minutes till it went off the rails, straight into poo. The culture and stereotypes were great. The romance is anything but picture-worthy. There's zero chemistry or comedy between anyone or anything. Long story short, skip it unless you want poor movie-making of course.

Um? There wasn’t really a story. Like, they were just in love but not being together and then all of a sudden get back together like nothing happened? Strange. And pia was just so chaotic she was stressing me out.

rating of the potential men because i want to:
1- complete idiot who is still a child. only good thing was his moneyyyy
2- EXTREME mommy issues, so happy she stabbed him. wdym he loves her mom but still proceeded go go on a blind date?
3- being a yoga teacher is cool, but his beliefs? i understand why she immediately left, because you truly dont know what other stuff he could secretly believe in
4- HER FIRST AND TRUE LOVE. wish they had more chemistry together or screen time…

One thing I’ll say is W manipulation throughout the whole movie, they’ve used every tactic in the arts of manipulation lol. I don’t like who Pia ended up with at the end. I can’t lie, I was tired of seeing his mopey face. The one great thing about this movie was Luke Fetherston, I don’t know who he is but he made this movie good enough to watch and I like his character. I understand why most people gave this movie a 7/10. Also, Akshay might be the luckiest character in the movie.👀
