Phantom of the Paradise Reviews

fully commits to being insane and over the top, i absolutely love it
there are some fantastic costumes in this, specifically winslow and beef's, they would be so iconic if only more people knew about this movie
reminds me a lot of rocky horror which is one of my fave movies ever

One of the most insane, trippy and fun films out there. ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ meets ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ meets ‘Faust’ meets ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’.

Fitting that Phoenix rises to stardom after a live firey death.

This is the type of movie my family judges me for loving. I don’t care though. This was awesome.

Wow that super campy and fun. Love the mix horror and music etc.

Soooo good, Winslow is a lot of fun

this movie was utter chaos and a fun rendition of phantom of the opera, i loved it

Pure chaos but very fun. Best song is Goodbye Eddie and best character is Beef ✨

A great time through and through. Absolutely crazy film and one of my favourites from De Palma. Music is great in this. Despite being incredibly camp and wacky, the film still manages to be dramatic and engaging.

Loved it so much

“Karmas so thick around here you need an aqualung to breathe”
This was so comically evil and trippy, some really unique editing from Paul Hirsch. I really enjoyed the costumes, the singing, and beef was such a fun character. Poor Winslow, at least his fit was clean 🎵🎤
