Peter Hujar's Day

I love slow, meandering films, and a two-hander built around one long conversation sounds great on paper. But I couldn’t give less of a fuck about the people, the characters, or the subject matter — or whatever little semblance of one there was.

1/30/26: It’s sweet they were able to put words behind the transcript and the acting is absolutely superb, Ben and Rebecca are enveloped in their characters! A very interesting look at a very interesting odd man

I liked the retro aesthetic and the naturalistic, quiet style but I didn’t get the appeal behind this, maybe I’m not the right audience for this
