Slow burner but a classic worth the watch

Nominated for 10 Oscar’s and won 7. While I do appreciate this film and the magnitude of it, it’s not that great for me. First off, not a huge fan of Patton himself. The first scene is memorable.

Essential viewing when watching WW2 war movies

I loved this movie as a kid. I wanted to be general patton when I grew up

I like war movies to be in the thick of battles. This one just isn’t. However, still an interesting story. Just more on the political side.

I never learned much about Patton in school, so this was an interesting and informative watch! The film excelled in visual storytelling. My main take away of this film was that Patton was a military mad genius and I feel like I understand the forces at work in WWII a bit better.

General George S. Patton was something else, and this movie conveys it.

Patton is easily one of the best biopics I've ever seen. By focusing the movie on Patton's great successes and failures as well as some of his controversial opinions and beliefs, the movie succeeds in telling a story about a flawed man who lived for the battlefield. 9.5/10
