Paddington in Peru Reviews

Oh no, I hate finishing movies asking if it was necessary but was this necessary? I realised almost instantly that Paul King wasn't involved much in this. None of the spectacles or music reached the height of the past 2 movies and both are far from realistic/perfect but this takes the marmalade. Adding in Oliva Coleman and Antonio Banderas to add nothing is a huge knock. The whole plot is a waste, and I wonder if Sally Hawkins dipped before or after this came into production. She was a key character in Paddington's development and it definitely needed her. The bear himself was hollow and almost completely recycled. I'd give it a dislike and I don't why I'm not.

You can really feel the absence of Sally Hawkins & Paul King. It's been a while since I've watched previous Paddington movies, but I noticed immediately, and it's like a glaring hole in this 3rd installment. However, I still love Paddington as a character, and the Brown family was great along with the adventure we went on.

I quite enjoyed this. It's not as fun or insane as Paddington 2 but there's enough charm here to make this an entertaining watch.

This was such a fun movie. I love Paddington. Found it awesome that we got to see his origin, and I love the meaning of family in the film, made me feel emotional. A bit predictable and weird at times but still a great movie, very fun for kids, teens and adults.

It doesn’t quite match the magic of the first two films, and I was sad to find out it was a different director. The story is a lot more convoluted in its adventure plot, missing Paddington’s key sharpness and whit. Sally Hawkins is also gone which is a huge let down.

5.8 I don’t really remember the other movies I just feel like this movie wasn’t it. Feel like the first one was a lot better. It’s an alright kids movie with a really nice message behind it.

Mrs. B was such an important character in the first 2 movies cus it was she who brought him home in the first place when no one in the family welcomed him. This new version her doesn’t even seems to care that much about Paddington. Unnecessary sequel with unnecessary characters

i think this is just as charming and funny and heartwarming as the other movies, even with the changes behind the scenes. also, love the phoenix cameo at the end.

I would like it, but it got a “meh” because it is the worst of the triology. Less heartfelt, less comedic.

Schöner Kinderfilm aber fand die Figur Paddington doch sehr flach

8/10 - feel good movie and great for all ages. Remember to stay to watch the end titles for a small return from an old adversary 😉🫶
