Pacific Rim: Uprising

The second one definitely wasn’t as good as the first but still pretty cool. I said earlier that robots and monsters fighting never gets old. Here it got a bit old. But still a really cool film.

Should’ve never been written. A horrid offense to its predecessor and yet another example of male writers killing off incredible female characters to further the plot of their lesser male counterparts. Mako Mori deserved so much better.

It's immediately apparent Guillermo del Toro had nothing to do with this. Basically anything good from the first movie is bad in this. Characters are bland. Plot is stupid. This has none of the charm of the original. I know the first one had its flaws but this is shamefully bad.

Always the second film can't guarantee itself. Using from previous plots to "trying" to have a good final.

lazy Hollywood writing. first act is pretty mid. amora is a terrible worthless character , overall plot isn’t actually that bad , fun action , a lot of worthless characters and time spent on them instead of being spent on our main character. bad character development process.
