i can’t believe this based on a true story. PSH is actually the goat actor. Literally such a perfect acting performance. Bernie was such a rn.I need me a ROD like linda. She was kinda stupid but truly loved him. can’t believe ppl rlly gamble like this. THE CASINO ALWAYS WINS!

This film reminded me of how good Philip Seymour Hoffman is. Such an interesting character study into the true gambler addict. The whole tone of the film is muted and realistic, unlike other gambling and night life focused films. Overall underrated.

I’d never heard of this story before and it sounded really interesting. But the movie was fairly monotone and kinda boring. For a high stakes gambling movie, they didn’t sell you on any peaks and valleys

Shows perfectly how scummy and heartless casinos and the gambling business is. It's devastating knowing this is how hundreds of thousands of people have lost everything. And yet still so many people gamble.

The Leaving Las Vegas of gambling films; It’s a dismal and tense cautionary tale starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman who as usual is great. This is easily one of his best performances.
