great film, color pallet is gorgeous, christian bale being a bad ass although there wasn’t really much dialogue from his role. definitely wish the ending was better, kinda disappointed lowkey. although it’s still a solid watch just bc of bale ofc. 7 / 10

Solid flick, wishing the ending was a little better

A really well acted, incredibly dark thriller/action movie. Fantastic lead actors and setting.

How have I not watched this before?!?!
This film does not rely on flashiness but rather gritty, stripped down raw performances. The story is not overly complex though I found the rotation of leading characters and detour of the story entertaining and compelling.
The all star cast all give great performances. I love Casey Affleck and Willem Dafoe in the first half of the film and then Christian Bale absolutely steals the second half. 
The action is gritty, abrupt and entertaining. The score is also magnificent, carrying tension throughout the film. I also have to mention the beautiful landscape shots that show you a fascinating juxtaposition between the beautiful location and the horrible actions that are taking place within. Definitely give it a watch if you like character acting and gritty, violent stories! 8/10 Recommend
