The second time watching Opal made me realize how deep of a meaning it has and also helped me clarify a lot more on what was happening. The creepy animation also gives it that unique touch. Really represents the struggles of child neglect, 9/10

Was forced to watch this by my nephew. He explained the meaning behind it, which is sad. But the animation was creepy and just weird? I guess it’s supposed to be? But I didn’t like it at all. 0/10

i absolutely adore this short film with all my heart. it scared the shit outta me when i first watched it at like 3am, but that's exactly what it's supposed to do. there's so much meaning and little details to pick up on that i can't help but rewatch it. such an impactful piece!

wow. I can’t believe I’m just seeing this now. one of the most captivating depictions of childhood trauma. I watched it 4 times in a row, I can’t get enough. I love those psychological twists! a crazy story packed into 12 minutes & 30 seconds. I want to give Opal a hug ☹️🍔

I didn’t get it at first but I now understand the meaning. I find it too sad, too strange, and too uncomfortable to actually like. I understand that art can make you uncomfortable. The style was interesting. This short was just not for me :/
