Really heavy, very impactful and well made movie

This film was a difficult watch. Definitely not something I would recommend lightly. Jake is one of the biggest pieces of shit in any movie I've ever watched.

Phew that was something

Gritty story of a Māori couple & their five children. Jake the Muss is handsome but insecure and prone to violent, drunken outbursts that he takes out on his wife Beth when she gets too “lippy.” This is brutal and the violence may be triggering to some. Love the Māori traditions.
