fantastic translation AND localization to the modern age. The one sided homoerotic jealously Hugo feels towards Odin is visible in every single micro expression of his. Good handling of the racial aspect of othello often ignored. odin occasionally falls flat & is outacted by Hugo

amazing film & amazing take on othello. not 100% accurate to the play but definitely gives a good understanding

I feel like this movie needs to be appreciated more.

A fantastic modernization of the classic Shakespearean tale Othello. It’s tragic, captivating, and devastatingly real all at the same time. 8/10
