really good fishing storyline

a true guilty pleasure, von trier meshes sexuality and philosophy just so well. the performances were just so immaculate, plus it even gets emotionally intense in areas. totally not for everyone… but i’d totally watch it again

I really dont know what to think of that movie

Honestly, this movie is boring. all the metaphors💀.The writers must’ve thought they are so smart.It was really slow and I got the point of the movie, but it could’ve been done so much more interesting.Just a pretentious movie by a man who thinks he could ever write a woman’s pov.

Very, 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 inappropriate. Lots of nudity and heavy sexual subjects. I don’t know if the director (being a man) could do a woman’s story justice, but it definitely formed my opinions of sex and people’s disturbing desires.

Von Trier takes a dark, uncomfortable, and pointedly unsexy journey into the lows of her sexuality, and the result contains everything an audience expects from a von Trier film by way of strong performances, confronting subject matter, and uneven results.
