It is perfectly accomplished, and pleasing enough, but it's not going to blow your socks off, even though the combination of Ms Taylor Wood and such a compelling story would give you every reason to think it might.

Only half an hour into the movie I understood that it was about John Lennon💀. it was quite a life he has had but John Lennon was still a dick to his children so I guess he didn’t learn anything. Great movie though, and Aaron is such a great actor I love him.

John’s relationship with his mother was ummm interesting 🧐
-Bit boring tbh and confusing at the start even though I’m writing abt him on a history essay
-Watched it for Thomas Brodie sangster and he got all of Paul’s mannerisms PERFECT
-Liked most of the music

if you like the Beatles you’ll like this

mostly conflict between his aunt and mother, i expected a little more music but still good. it was interesting to see john lennons life and how he started the band. i think granny was self-projecting when directing some of the scenes between him and his mum :/ weird awk tension

Maybe i should rewatch it more concentrated, for now just meh. I didn’t connect to the characters at all.
