Truly a masterpiece, the plot-twist was insaneee

This movie was honestly terrible and sooo cheesy (peak early ‘10s corny) but I still somehow enjoyed it so this escapes meh or worse. Will be watching the sequel next which I anticipate is equally as silly

This was a lot fun. I remember being obsessed with magic as a kid, so it almost felt nostalgic in a way. That ending though, did not expect it. Maybe that’s me being a dumbass, but I didn’t see it coming.

These movies used to make me think being a magician was my future career path

I rewatched some movies from 2013 and realised it wasn't just the era, that took a toll on this. The director or someone with a big voice did. It's the recipe for a masterpiece. A stacked cast, with terrible writing. Big and beautiful visuals, ruined by forgettable directing. Magic and mystery, flattened by its tone. Smart and stylish sequences squelched by inconsistent pacing. For every part I loved, there's a part I hate. Something it did do well was introduce us to the NYSM world, building interest for its sequels.

My go-to comfort movie.

I love tricksters and I love watching people steal money

I love this movie so much and every time I watch it I’m amazed by everything about it and for some reason I’m always as surprised at the end lol

Everything from start to finish was so tough. Can’t wait to see part 2.

SO MANY PLOT TWISTS IT WAS SO GOOD

Why was I expecting more from this movie? I actually thought the idea was cool but the reality ? So unrealistic. And the reveal at the end with the plot twist, absolutely no sense.

7.2/10 overall a solid movie, ending definitely got me by surprise didn’t see it coming at all. Definitely recommend this movie tho.
