Incredibly moving story of religious guilt, personal identity and faith. Exceptionally well-made film, had me on the verge of tears for almost the whole thing until that one scene broke me. Margaret Qualley delivers a beautiful and deep performance.

the lesbians weren't exaggerating about how good the "please, comfort me" scene was. hoooooo i felt good alright and i know her ma was cheering internally when she was hesitating to say what she seeks and then saying she seeks more

OH DEAR. I have never screamed louder when THAT hapoened. The whole tension, and the off-putting ambience just elevated the whole movie. I'm a tour guide in ta Catholic museum and I didn't know this much of an impact attacked the nuns. Amazing film, would watch it again.
