I love this movie a lot. It’s a slow paced movie and I found it to be really touching mainly because I found it to be relatable and comforting due to similar experiences.

not everyone deserve to have a child, let alone four damn kids, mind you they are under 12. ROT IN HELL YOU BITCH!!!

As someone who experienced the same situation being abandoned by my mother at 14 and having to take care of myself and my brothers, this movie hit hard. The resemblance was crazy. Brought back a lot of emotions

i have mixed feelings about this movie. i could’ve loved it i think, if i found and watched the movie alone. it’s a slow and raw telling. i remember having a hard time knowing what i was feeling after i watched this. i’d will have to watch again. ?/10

Idk, a lot of other movies handle the same "subject" or genre if you're gonna call it that way better. This one failed miserably, pacing, writing, storytelling, music. 1/5, disappointing.

Koreeda lost me a bit after Maborosi, but this one was a masterpiece. Stressed me the F out and crushed my soul, but a masterpiece nonetheless.

One of the finest movie with finest performances by all the child actors. This movie will hit us hard. No unwanted background music or too much emotion. Neat performance and solid screenplay all has made this movie a must watch. One shouldn’t miss these type of movies

It’s a hard movie to just say I “like” I appreciate the cinematography and storytelling and the acting, I related to how immature and unreliable the mom was, “im not allowed to be happy “ no ur not u need to put ur kids first. A tragic story that could have been avoided 7/10

this film broke me... I will never be the same. it was so sweetly heartbreaking. I can't believe it was based on a true story. the visuals were amazing 👏 and the ending was so shocking.

One thing I couldn’t understand was why they purposely had many shots of their legs and hands. Was there a hidden meaning?
