Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater

Ashley Williams absolutely shines as Maggie, bringing her signature warmth, energy, and authenticity to every scene. She feels so genuine in the role that it’s completely believable when she accidentally hits someone with a Christmas tree—I loved it! Niall Matter (Lucas) is the perfect grumpy counterpart to Maggie. He grounds the story with his own authentic performance, and together their chemistry is irresistible.

One of the movie’s highlights is when Lucas moves into Maggie’s guest house to recover. The awkward yet heartwarming moments are just as charming as you’d expect from a Hallmark film. The setting really is a Christmas dream come true, from Maggie’s cozy home to the inviting town and picturesque café.

I particularly loved the subplot of the characters volunteering at the military center. It was a sweet and meaningful addition, giving the story extra heart. And can we talk about the romance? I’m always delighted when the leads share a kiss before the very end, and Ashley Williams and Niall Matter truly made me believe in their connection—they’re so believable together!

The emotional twists—Ellen’s arrival, Maggie’s misunderstanding, the parents surprising their kids via satellite, their heartfelt Christmas gifts, and Lucas’s return—gave me all the feels and even brought tears to my eyes. I’m genuinely left wishing we could see what happens next for Maggie and Lucas. This movie is everything you want from a Hallmark holiday romance: heart, humor, and hope for happily ever after!

Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater

I was a bit sceptical with this one, but I truly enjoyed it. Ashley Williams banter is hilarious and is a great actress. I loved the mother-daughter relationship. Lots of ugly and obnoxious sweaters.
