A beautifully crafted character driven narrative that’s simple yet so poetic. The black and white works nicely to create a melancholy midwestern landscape. Almost cried at the end.

a stark contrast from payne’s older comedies, but still a film full of beautiful warmth and excellent humor. every big director gets their black-and-white film if they want it, and this is such a stunning one with excellent performances and intelligent storytelling. moving

Solid drama about getting old and about father and son relationships. Deep film

the film seems strange and slow, but it shows how it can happen that sometimes we do not know anything that is around us. in the end it is interesting
