Napoleon Dynamite

I’m sorry! I know this movie is iconic but I just didn’t find it funny or even remotely entertaining. I was pretty bored the entire time. The one time I laughed was when Kip ran over the Tupperware and then sped away. That’s it. I expected more from it.

An Incredible ride that packs a comedic uppercut in just 85 minutes. Napoleon Dynamite will forever be a classic of the early 2000s, it’s relevant in pop culture, iconic, and entirely unique in its setting, jokes and best of all direction.

1st Act 8.8/10 (A brilliant start that tells you exactly what the movie is gonna be like from the very beginning.)

2nd Act 9.1/10 (Best jokes followed by amazing development of characters.)

3rd Act 9.3/10 (Hopecore mixed with best segment, what’s not to love?)

Plot 9/10 (Executed incredibly well, such a shame Jared went on to do A Minecraft Movie.)

Soundtrack/Score 9/10 (One Banger After Another.)

Acting 8.9/10 (“Pedro realising” has got to be one of my favourite looks an actor has given.)

Pacing 8.7/10 (Perfectly standard, never too slow nor fast

Cinematography 9.2/10 (Front of house and road shots fit so good with the vibes this movie has.)

Character Development 8.6/10 (The relationship at the end had me smiling ear to ear.)

Writing 8.2/10 (Some jokes were funny, tho I thought Pedro was better than Napoleon, and not sure I was supposed to.)

Ending 8.8/10 (Gotta love a good hopecore movie, PEDRO MY GOAT.)

Direction 9.4/10 (Incredibly unique, both stylistically and shot-wise.)
