Mystic River

Thriller? Drama? Mystery? Suspense? DEPRESSION. I haven't cried so hard and been so gripped by a story in forever. From the get-go, all you feel is sadness and tension. The character build and casting was honestly some of the best. The acting was phenomenal, it's no wonder Sean and Tim won an oscar. Clint Eastwood proving once again that he's more than just an actor. The directing and score enhanced the mystery by 100. I'm still in shock from the ending. Had me in doubt the whole way through. The juxtaposition between the characters and time and everything was off the charts.

Sean Penn u got me crying the entire movie. I really liked the importance of women in men's lives, but I wish their characters had been more developed. Also poor Dave.

Amazing movie but I have a couple of things to say that made me upset. Dave was failed by so many people in this movie that it almost made me dislike this film. I will not let that cloud my judgement though because this is a beautiful film with an amazing cast, but I did not like the ending. Has a really good twist but this is honestly a heartbreaking movie and will make you upset so be prepared! 8/10

Phenomenal acting, great cast. Loved the slow build up and character development! The movie doesnt have a lot of music, but i dont feel it need it either. Must watch if you like drama movies with mystery solving
