Why did this film that I thought was gonna be laughs leave me in tears & I’m so grateful for it?? Left me thinking about the finite time we have with those we love and how to make the most of it

Damn, didn’t think I’d love this but holy crap it hit me hard. Bawling currently. Was definitely expecting a comedy, but Audrey Plaza really put on a heart wrenching performance & Maisy Stella was🤌 Setting & nature imagery was so peaceful. “I’m really grateful for this moment”😭😭

It’s a great, great movie.

Aubrey Plaza and Maisy Stella have good chemistry, even if they look nothing like one another.

Great directing.

Good comedy and that ending got me. Unexpected, relatable, touching: really good.

Although Percy Hines White shouldn’t be there.

i feel this movie will go on as underrated.

i did shred a tear or two when she realized how fast everything was moving and how we one day realize to make everything about ourselves.

i feel that if hailee steinfeld, haley lu richardson and jojo siwa had a kid it will be maisy.

Honestly so real….All the feels. Silly, lighthearted but also emotional. This got much deeper than I was ready for but I think it’s a nice reminder to be present and live for yourself!!!!! No regrets

Damn you Chad

A cute teen film about the finite element of time and how things will never be as simple as they were in our youth. It was sweet and heartfelt but my main gripe is it needed more Aubrey Plaza.

wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a solid movie. lots of funny one-liners and young elliott was more likable than i expected her to be. got super close to crying towards the end. definitely don’t watch if you want time travel to be explained though.

boring and her having lesbian sex at the beginning was so random 😭

i didn’t expect to like this movie so much. i expected to have a mild discontentment towards elliott’s sexuality and the initial presentation of her a lesbian but then having her end up with a male love interest, however i think the conversation around the fluidity of her sexuality was interesting and topical. but that’s not what steals the show - it’s the emotion of growing up, losing her childhood home and the stability of it. it resonates with me especially this year. elliott isn’t the nicest protagonist - she is selfish, self-centered, annoying, arrogant - but she tries and does get better. and i relate to her on the basis of wanting to go away for college but wanting the comfort of being able to come home, and how jostling it was to realize that there would be no home to come to with the farm gone. when she left for college, she would truly be leaving forever. that makes for a much more interesting narrative than her sexuality in my opinion, though i do love the addition of aubrey plaza
