My Darling Clementine Reviews

Not exactly the western I was expecting, but it was actually quite nice. I've seen Tombstone (1993) before, so I recognize character names, and the standout, of course, is Doc Holliday. The black and white cinematography is amazing as well for 1946.

Ford bends the form to his will, a scene that is chaotic and overwhelming one second, is tranquil and hypnotizing the next; like a god, molding the film with his bare hands right in front of our eyes

I was immediately sucked into Fords version of the old west. Despite occasional anti-indigenous racism, this film is so well written, well acted, well paced, and so beautifully photographed that I couldn’t help but love every frame of this. 8/10
