I didn’t understand anything but wow that was amazing

Still a love. Incredible movie. Fuck the dudes who freaked out in the theater about the sex scene. Same 8 dudes were all smoking cigarettes in a circle taking about it outside the theater afterwards. So fucking funny. They should kill themselves😘😘😘 also fuck Owen!!!

this film really does its best to make you question whether you are actually seeing a good movie or not several times near the beginning and not until far later do we learn that this is by design - the movie is full of incredible twists and turns that really force you to think hard about everything that comes across the screen - phenomenal acting performance by naomi watts - vivid themes and stylistic symbols throughout

This is definitely my favourite David Lynch movie I've seen yet.
There is a reason why it's literally studied and given as an assignmemt/project/piece of research in every university to film majors.
Absolute fucking cinema ♡ (that one Scorsese photo).

One of the most unique films that I’ve ever seen.

The more I think about this film the better I think it is and the more I respect David Lynch as a director. This was definitely a great film to start off David Lynch’s filmography.

20 minutes in and I already knew I was going to need a YouTube explained video.
Honestly for most of this movie I thought it totally sucked. Everything felt off and I couldn’t even understand what was going on half the time. I won’t spoil anything but once I realized the main concept for the movie and put everything together it became kinda brilliant.

Cryptic and symbolic. Had been known enough that was the direction’s intention, and to be fair, it is not my liking. I don’t understand at all and it requires me to watch explained video, which was not my forte. (I did it and I love the story). Sad to be minority here.

I absolutely love this movie.
every time I watch it, it feels like slipping into a dream I don’t want to wake up from. The visuals are hauntingly beautiful, capturing both the glamour & darkness of Hollywood. The story is layered and surreal, pulling me deeper with every scene

Had the chance to watch this in a film festival in memory of David Lynch and then after the movie ended some friends performed Blue Velvet for us.

I’ve been researching Lynchs films because of the dreamyness and liminal spaces as they relate to my art. I think this movie is great and it’s so captivating but I’m honestly so confused, I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve missed something in the film or I’m just thick 😂

David Lynch’s commentary on the dark side of Hollywood is a surreal and captivating experience. The mysteries and symbolism in this movie are so intriguing and kept me thinking throughout. The final part of the film really brings everything together in such a masterful way.

More than any Lynch movie this noir-ish Hollywood saga has the shadowy texture and pliant foundation of a dream. Or a nightmare. Or both.
